"GO RED" SEIKO WATCH
Friday, February 1st is the American Heart Association's National Wear Red Day to support Go Red For Women and the fight against heart disease. The entire month of February will be celebrating the cause as American Heart Month, and Seiko is proudly participating in the cause with two special tribute watches, exclusively designed to support the fight against heart disease in women. Designers, Kyoko Higa and Maritza Fernandez met in Tokyo, Japan in 1989 when Maritza moved from Venezuela to Tokyo. In Japan, Maritza worked as an assistant to Kyoko at her company, Rose is a Rose. Thereafter, Kyoko began to develop her own line, Kyoko Higa, in Japan. In 1992, Maritza continued her career with Kyoko, selling the line in the United States. After 23 years as partners, the designers developed Filomena Fernandez in 2011. The line was developed with the goal of reinventing the essential everyday basics and create clothing that is chic and distinctive. The originality in design details makes these fundamental pieces unique while maintaining a laid-back yet modern look. Filomena Fernandez Latin American & Asian-inspired womenswear line emphasizing modern minimalism that is both practical and sophisticated.
