1. What is the official name of your photography business?
Elizabeth Craig Photography www.elizabethcraigphotography.com
2. Where are you located?
502 W. North Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15212
3. What was your inspiration for this image?
Christina's dress was so classic and so romantic I wanted to capture both David and Christina with the stone background and the stained glass.
4. Do you plan which images to take or are they spontaneous ?
Mostly they are spontaneous. Wedding photography is very fast-paced and locations are always changing so you have to be able to bring a creative touch at any minute.
5. Is there anything in particular that you love about this shot?
The pose and the way the wind is blowing Christina's veil.
6. What is it about your photography that speaks to an individual or a couple looking for someone to capture special moments?
You get 2 sets of eyes from a husband/wife team and both of us shoot very differently. John shoots very masculine and photojournalistically. I shoot much more detail and editorial style. So you get a complete wedding from both of us.
7. Is there anything else special that you would like to share with the audience?
Remember to always choose the photographer you connect with. This will make your day run very smoothly, while ensuring you get great photographs.
1. What is the official name of your photography business?
Brian Mengini Photography
2. Where are you located?
Philly
3. What was your inspiration for this image?
Wanted to create a strong but simple image using available light that would show off the dancers natural beauty and lines, an image that would be timeless.
4. Do you plan which images to take or are they spontaneous ?
Sometimes it's a mixture. This image in particular was not really planned. We were at the Public Library of Boston and scouting locations to shoot at in there, when I happened upon this large window just beaming with sweet light.
5. Is there anything in particular that you love about this shot?
There is strength in its simplicity. It's a beautiful, elegant image that compliments the location and the ballerina- one of my favorites. To me, this is the quintessential ballet image.
6. What is it about your photography that speaks to an individual or a couple looking for someone to capture special moments?
I think that my work is clean and simple, yet strong. I do not get caught up in props or anything like that. I want the focus to remain on the person/couple and let the composition and subject carry the image. I feel I am able to capture the spirit of the person/couple and put that out there for others to see.
7. Is there anything else special that you would like to share with the audience?
I travel (for those out of town prospective clients) :) You can find me on Instagram at brianmenginiphotography, FB at BrianMengini and my website is www.brianmengini.com.
1. What is the official name of your photography business? (website also)
Kelly Cappelli is the name of my photography business. My website is www.kellycappelli.com
2. Where are you located?
I am located in LA and Phoenix
3. What was your inspiration for this image?
I was inspired by the vintage gown in this image. It reminded me of royalty. I had the make up and hair styled with more of a vintage era accentuating the pale skin, leaving the eyes bare and a deep, gorgeous red for the lips.
4. Do you plan which images to take or are they spontaneous?
My images are both planned and spontaneous. I love shooting both studio and location. Studio is a much more controlled environment and lighting is my passion but locations offer amazing, creative challenges that I am also inspired by.
5. Is there anything in particular that you love about this shot?
This photo was shot in an enormous warehouse filled from top to bottom with furniture. I love that you can't really see what is going on just inches from the edges of the photo. I found this beautiful door buried way in the back in the dark. Once I saw the detail I knew it was perfect for the "royalty like" feel that I wanted for the stunning gown.
6. What is it about your photography that speaks to an individual or a couple looking for someone to capture special moments?
I started as a Creative Director in fashion. I think my photography has a unique and special angle due to the many years of viewing shoots with another vision other than just shooting a photo.
7. Is there anything else special that you would like to share with the audience?
I am self taught and shoot from the heart with passion.
1. What is the official name of your photography business?
Photography by Martha
2. Where are you located?
Northern New Jersey
3. What was your inspiration for this image?
The creamy feather grass, I just love how delicate it looks against the brides skin tone.
4. Do you plan which images to take or are they spontaneous ?
It's a combination of both, I sometimes get couples that are extremely comfortable in front of the camera which allows me to capture natural romantic and fun images of them. Then there are other times when it doesn't come as easy and the bride and groom depend on me for a little direction. When this occurs, I still challenge myself to try and make them laugh. The wedding day can sometimes be stressful and I always find a way for my couples to enjoy, relax and have a little fun!
5. Is there anything in particular that you love about this shot?
Yes, The brides veil belonged to her grandmother, I just love how dainty she is with it and the look of admiration on her face.
6. What is it about your photography that speaks to an individual or a couple looking for someone to capture special moments?
My style is more of a classic flair, I try and stay away from trendy as much as possible. I want my clients to look at their images 10, 20, 30 years down the road and still love what they see.
7. Is there anything else special that you would like to share with the audience?
Yes, whenever I first meet with a couple that are interested in hiring me, I always emphasize to them that the photographer is the one person that will spend the most time with them on their wedding day and there has to be some sort of chemistry between all. If a couple is planning on hiring a photography company, ask to see and speak to the photographer that will be in charge of the wedding. Who wants to go through their wedding day miserable with the photographer?

Jeffrey Rease Photography & Design, www.jeffrease.com
2. Where are you located?
In the "Heart of Dixie" in Birmingham, Alabama
3. What was your inspiration for this image?
I love to shoot in the late afternoon "golden hour" when possible and catching that beautiful light behind the couple or on their skin provides a very fitting atmosphere of romance and beauty to the images.
4. Do you plan which images to take or are they spontaneous ?
I have ideas beforehand because I scout the location, but often the weather, time of day and other factors determine what I want to do in a particular moment. A good photographer has to be able to adapt to changes and be spontaneous when new ideas and elements present themselves. Most of my clients love it when I come up with spontaneous ideas!
5. Is there anything in particular that you love about this shot?
What I love about it—other than the awesome location in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico—is the sense of being in the moment of happiness and love this couple shares and capturing the location that they enjoy so much. I knew I had to get some shots with the infinity pool and the distant mountain and surf. A bonus was the person sitting on a distant rock. And the late afternoon timing after the ceremony came together beautifully.
6. What is it about your photography that speaks to an individual or a couple looking for someone to capture special moments?
I am told that I am a soft-spoken and quiet person in general and during portrait shoots and weddings they hardly know I am there. I play to that strength and let the moments happen as I am shooting so we get some more candid images and less posed and rigid expressions. At weddings, I want the couple to be the center of attention—I don't want to be a distraction at all. Even with engagement shoots I often use a zoom lens and shoot from a greater distance so the couple feels more at ease being themselves. Yes, I do have to bring in the art director side of me and arrange some things for the planned shots, but overall I want the images to convey strong feelings of love, romance, happiness and celebration of THAT couple.
7. Is there anything else special that you would like to share with the audience?
My wife, Lesa, assists me often and though we are in Alabama, we shoot just about anywhere we are asked to go. And I shoot anything—fashion, portraits, weddings, musicians, landscapes, lifestyle—I love it all!

2. Where are you located?
Beautiful Lake Tahoe & Reno, NV
3. What was your inspiration for this image?
This image is one of my Grand Bridals that I specifically allot time for post-ceremony, where I sneak my bride and groom out of their wedding craziness and let them immerse themselves in a personal moment. Then I capture it.
4. Do you plan which images to take or are they spontaneous ?
I definitely fall into both categories, although I'd have to lean towards planned! When I meet my Brides at their wedding location, I have a lot of ideas that rush into my brain! Then its a waiting game for the actual wedding day where I can put them into practice!
5. Is there anything in particular that you love about this shot?
Absolutely! Lake Tahoe is a high altitude lake with minimal light pollution, so the ability to capture dazzling stars is plentiful! I often focus on the plainly-obvious beautiful elements of Lake Tahoe, but I wanted to focus this image on something that may have gone otherwise unnoticed.
6. What is it about your photography that speaks to an individual or a couple looking for someone to capture special moments?
I think one of my strong points is connecting with my couple and providing a sense of adaptation of my photography that specifically suits them. I love taking my recipe and adding it to theirs!
7. Is there anything else special that you would like to share with the audience?
I'm continuously chasing my next "never before"! I'm always ready to climb into my car, or a train or plane to catch my next completely unique wedding experience! Follow me on instagram @calvinxhobson or have me for your wedding @ www.calvinhobson.com!
